Vanness Wu photoshoot for new album C’est La V

Van Ness Wu especially went to South Korea to get a new style and to get his photo shoot done for his upcoming new album. Photographer Zo Sun Hi has previously done photo shoots for Rain, Big Bang, Maggie Cheung, Zhang Ziyi and more; it’s the first time Zo Sun Hi has worked with Van Ness and although they originally agreed to do only 10 sets of photos, Zo was generous enough to help take two more sets for Van Ness.

In the photo where Van Ness has a cape on, he had to jump almost 200 times in order to capture the movement of the cape flapping in mid-air. In the other photo, black tulle wrapped over Van Ness’s head. He humorously said, “That lace…the tulle over my face felt really interesting. It must be the same feeling as a girl wearing stockings?!”

Van Ness’s new album, “C’est La V”, will be released on July 8th.

Vanness Wu is back with Singapore Sexy Arissa Cheo

Vanness Wu's short-lived relationship with Singaporean heiress Arissa Cheo first made headlines after a photo of the couple surfaced online. The two used to date for a year in 2006, but broke up after they drifted apart when Arissa was studying in the US.

They reconciled again in April last year and were photographed shopping on the streets together. Although the Taiwanese singer publicly admitted to his then-relationship with Arissa, the duo broke up again in September, after six months of courtship.

Despite going separate ways, Vanness publicly acknowledged that they are "still in contact" and are "still friends".

A devout Christian, Vanness has taken a chastity pledge against pre-marital sex. However, his ex-girlfriend is widely known for her liberal ways like posing sexy pictures of herself online. It was widely-speculated that the clash in "sexual interest" was the catalyst to the failed relationship.

After countless of separations and reconciliations, it looks like the pair has kissed and made up yet again. They were recently sighted touring Taiwan together in the year-end with Vanness visiting Arissa's folks in Singapore.

Attending a press conference held yesterday as a brand ambassador for denim jeans, the 32-year-old replied "Happy New Year," when reporters asked about his relationship with Arissa and declined to answer all questions regarding his love life.

A member of now-defunct Taiwanese boyband, F4, reporters asked if the group's non-appearance in Lunar New Years shows were due to Vic Zhou's promotional activities for Black & White.

"Our schedules and timing are really hard to organize. I don't know about the rest!" he replied.

To build up his body for this denim jeans commercial, the singer-dancer shared that he eats "only vegetables" and spends as long as "3 hours in the gym" everyday.

Vanness Wu and Lynn Xiong in drama Material Queen

As reported previously, Van Ness Wu and Lynn Xiong were filming in Paris for their upcoming drama, “Material Queen”. Van Ness has been trying his best to avoid intimate scenes due to his Christianity, but he and Lynn had a bed scene in the drama. Fortunately, due to the cold weather in Paris, the bed scene was cancelled and changed to a kissing scene instead. Feeling relieved, Van Ness expressed, “Thank God!”

Van Ness broke up with his now ex-girlfriend Arissa just before he left Taiwan for Paris. He revealed to the media that he has already recovered from it, “Regardless of love relationships or work, God is the one giving me strength and power. Whether it’s good or bad, I have to face them all.” There were rumors that the couple broke up because Arissa had a new love interest and/or because of a dissatisfying sex life. Van Ness continued to thank God and did not disclose any further details of the break up to the media.

It’s Van Ness first time working with Lynn Xiong and he complimented her, saying that she’s very cute, “She’s completely different from her appearance. She’s like a kid, very easy to get along with.” Since Lynn is 179cm tall, whenever the two have to be filmed standing together, Lynn would take off her high heels right away. Van Ness laughed, “The director wanted me to stand on a box, but I refused.”

Golden Bell is airing on Friday, but Van Ness won’t be attending as he will be performing in Singapore. He didn’t forget to congratulate his good friend and director Chen Hui-Ling and Jian Man-Shu for their Best Director and Best Actress nominations for “Year of the Rain” respectively, “Hurry and go get your awards! You guys have to win!”

Jerry Yan and Vanness Wu in Material Queen

A press event was held for Material Queen to officially introduce Van Ness Wu as its new leading man. Fellow F4 Jerry Yan made a surprise appearance after dropping out of the drama several days ago. It was impossible for him to keep a low-profile despite wearing casual clothes and a cap, but he did look like he wasn’t feeling very well. Producer Chen Yu Shan later explained that Jerry has been suffering from immune system problems, but the cause of his illness is still unknown.

Chen Yu Shan and director Chen Hui Ling got Van Ness Wu to sign on within 24 hours after they lost Jerry Yan. On the replacement casting, director Chen clarified, “I didn't invite (Van Ness Wu) to act, but rather to play the right role.” Van Ness Wu said he accepted the offer a day after getting her call on 27th, “I’ve had wanted to act (in this drama), but didn’t insist on it, maybe God heard my voice, it’s fate.” The press also asked if he is concerned about his height, since costar Lynn Xiong is 178 cm tall. Van Ness Wu responded, “Even Jay Chou can act alongside Lin Chi-ling, what should I be afraid of?”

Vanness Wu and Lynn Xiong in drama Material Queen

Next Media’s first ever drama “拜金女王” (roughly translates to "Material Queen") was without any male lead after Jerry Yan dropped out. Luckily they are back on track with Van Ness Wu signing onto the drama. It will reunite him with Autumn’s Concerto producer Chen Yu Shan and director Chen Hui Ling after their hugely successful collaboration last year. Most stars tend to be wary of replacing another in existing projects, but Van Ness Wu doesn’t seem to have this problem -- He almost replaced Vic Chou in the movie “The Killer Never Kills” before withdrawing due to scheduling conflicts.

Van Ness Wu was recording his album in Japan when producer Chen contacted him. He returned to Taiwan to finalize the agreement right away, and met with the drama’s stylist Patricia Field (from “Sex and the City”). In addition to growing out his hair, Van Ness Wu will also be taking French and violin lessons for his role. His costar Lynn Xiong will play an orphan-turned-materialistic model in the title character. Her height is reportedly 178 cm so the 180 cm tall Van Ness might experience a bad case of "Donnie Yen" if she wears in stilettos. Material Queen expects to begin filming at the end of September.

Vanness Wu and Xiao Xiao Bin as father and son awards

The TV father and son combo has been receiving plenty of love with their hit drama Autumn’s Concerto. The two attended the recording of SETTV’s Entertainment awards ceremony yesterday, which is scheduled to air on the Chinese New Year’s eve. Xiao Xiao Bin was awarded Most Notable B-Ka (2nd fiddle/supporting actor), while Van Ness Wu was awarded Most Compatible Couple with on-screen wife Ady Ann, who could not attend as she was filming in mainland China.

Van Ness Wu showed up at the awards ceremony with a super short hair cut. He explained that he had just come back the US after completing an independent film. He gave Xiao Xiao Bin a big hug right away, followed by sharing a piece of heart shaped chocolate together. Xiao Xiao Bin called him “Alien Daddy” and even said he wants to get a haircut like his TV dad.

Van Ness revealed that it has been two months since they have seen each other, he plans to give Xiao Xiao Bin a present for the New Year. He also seemed to be quite popular among children as Xiao Xiao Bin’s younger brother Mini Bin also wanted a hug from him. Van Ness said, “(I) plan to have 6 kids in the future, because there are five kids in my family, it’s very lively and pleasant. (I) hope it’ll happen as soon as possible.”

Xiao Xiao Bin’s closeness with Van Ness made the two costars from his new drama P.S. Man jealous. Bianca Bai plays Xiao Xiao Bin’s mom, while Sonia Sui said he won’t even say hi to her even though she plays his kindergarten teacher. Van Ness consoled the two with a word of advice, “In order to gain his trust, (you) have to play with him, and then he’ll naturally become close with you.”

Vanness Wu new rumoured girlfriend Tiffany Xu

According to various news sources, apart from playing onscreen lovers in the ongoing Taiwanese drama series, Next Stop, Happiness, both Vanness Wu and Tiffany Xu are speculated to be more than just friends. Acting as Vanness’s fiancée in the show, a member of the production team revealed that Vanness would often ask Tiffany, “Do you want a ride in my car?” when they changed filming locations.

He reportedly picked her up from her house in the mornings and would wait for the 25-year-old actress to finish filming her scenes before sending her home. It was reported that Vanness also gave Tiffany a book, immensely touching her with his enthusiasm and gallant mannerisms.

American-born Taiwanese star Vanness Wu is getting serious, and fans will just have to deal with it.

The singer, in town last Friday to grace the opening of lingerie shop Rondavous at Far East Plaza, explains: 'I was tired. Fans have to realise I'm not a kid any more and can't smile all the time.'

Given his busy schedule, it is no wonder the bachelor is claiming fatigue. Besides a thriving film career, the singer released his first Japanese-language single, Only, last month.

He says: 'I've been a fan of Japanese culture since I was young and it has been a big influence in my life. I always thought it would be cool to perform in Japan.'

While he is not fluent in the language, he had grown up listening to Japanese songs, and that helped him pick up the intonations. Currently he is working on more songs for his Japanese album.

He is also hard at work on a new Chinese album to be released in September.

The singer, who is a devout Christian, also finds time in his schedule for spiritual pursuits. He was in town for a Christian conference and stayed with Singaporean friends Race Wong, 26, and Rosanne Wong, 29, of Cantopop music duo 2R.

In return for the sisters' hospitality, he officiated at the opening of Rondavous Lingerie Boutique, a new project by 2R and their younger sister, Rhonda.

F2 – Vaness and Ken – to act in 'Tao Hua Girl' !

Both Vic and Jerry of F4 are currently filming new idol dramas but the same would goes for the other 2 F4’s member – Vaness and Ken – also. Both Wu and Chu are invited to be the cast of Comic’s new drama – Tao Hua Girl (Tao Hua Xiao Mei). With regards to the rumours about him and Kelly Lin are getting married, Ken mentioned that he is still a single bachelor and shotgun marriage is a NO for him.

“Momo Love” or “Tao Hua Ai Wu Di” which was previously a joint-collaboration by GTV and Comic Ritz has stopped its filming since last June. Rumour has it that because of the main casts – Gui Gui and Aaron Yan – were unable to work well together, the drama ended its filming which led to a lost of $200 0000. Comic Ritz has thus decided to film another new drama after one year whereby the drama will be a rendition of a Japanese famous manga, Tao Hua Girl. Jiro and Cyndi are casted to be the main protagonist with F2 being the supporting actors.

Been venturing into the China’s entertainment market lately, Ken will act as Cyndi’s older brother in this idol drama whereby it is a challenging role because he doesn’t allow his sister from falling in love with Jiro. Ken was also surprised that his debut drama “Meteor Garden” received much love from the audience till today, “All I could say that it was a miracle for the drama to become a big hit because the production fees was minimal compared to the current Korea’s dramas”.

Chu also expressed that his self – directing documentary which features the scenery of Taiwan would be released in July. Rumours has it that he has married Kelly Lin but Chu denied the claim by saying that he is currently single with no plans of having a shotgun marriage in the future. Jiro on the other hand has had a cameo appearance in “K.O. 3an Guo” to get himself better ready for his role in Tao Hua Girl.
