Kevin Cheng and Myolie Wu new series Ghettto Justice

Kevin Cheng Ghetto Justice

Yesterday the cast to TVB new series Ghetto Justice arrived at Sham Siu Po on an open top bus for the promotional event. The cast includes Myolie Wu, Kevin Cheng, Jazz Lam, Sharon Chan, Joyce Tang, Sam Lee, and Sek Sau. On the bus, Jazz shouted down to the neighbors that they must remember to support the "brothel", and resulted in scolds by parents on the street that he's a bad influence on children. Myolie immediately explained that the 'brothel' is referring to Sharon Chan's role. Initially the cast was suppose to get off the bus and give out fliers on the street, but unfortunately there were too many people surrounding.

Myolie exposed that Kevin has a scene where he reveals his behind on the first episode. Kevin was asked if he especially worked out for the scene? He said: "How to work out? I really don't know how to. (Good TV ratings will reveal more?) Leave the revealing to Myolie! In fact, I don't really have much expectation for the ratings. If I can foresee it, then I would go buy lottery!"

It was said that because TVB wanted to protect their TV Big Brother status, they are urgently pushing the rumored couples to boost the momentum at the Sales Presentation 2012. The two expressed that they only know there is a "Show Hand Event" in July. Kevin was asked if he minds being arranged to work with ex-rumored girlfriends Charmaine Sheh and Niki Chow again? He said: "Will worry about it when there are actual arrangements because this may not be the plan. It's a matter of opinion whether or not there is gold to suck. (If can earn money, anything is possible?) In fact, there is nothing for me to mind about, it's not the first time." Myolie does not mind working with either Bosco Wong or Kate Tsui. She said: "Best would be for us 3 to be together, and add in Kevin too, that be the best!"

Both Joyce Tang and Stephen Wong were rumored to be in a new relationship respectively, but both denied. Joyce said: "The person in the photos is not a new love interest, just a friend. I currently still single. After all I am currently living a happy life, the only heart breaking event is that my dog that I raised for 19 years passed away." Stephen also denied dating Coffee Lu and stressed that they are just friends.

Kevin Cheng and Raymond Wong in The King Boxer Costume Fitting

Raymond Wong

Kevin Cheng Ka Wing, Raymond Wong Ho Yin, Nancy Wu Ding Yan, and Selena Li Sze Wan appeared at the costume fitting for new TVB series, The King Boxer "拳王". Kevin and Raymond will portray boxers in the series. The two men appeared embarrassed by the show of skin. After requests from the press, Kevin and Raymond finally agreed to remove their outer robes for photos, which delivered a gay atmosphere!

During the photograph session, Kevin posed awkwardly to cover his nipples. Kevin said, “I am learning Muay Thai techniques. As the filming progresses, I will become more fit!” (There was a heavy gay feel before.) “Everyone knows that will not happen. There is little chance in changing [sexual] preferences.” (Are you embarrassed?) “I was not embarrassed until the press asked me to reveal my nipples. I never appeared this way before the press before!”

Recently becoming a new father, Raymond Wong said he felt strange holding his newborn son. “We have not decided on the Chinese name yet. I help change the diapers. My wife gives the baby a bath and breastfeeds him. Since we have sponsorship of milk powder, it should not be a problem!”

Baring her midriff at The King Boxer costume fitting, Nancy Wu will portray a deaf female boxer. Although Muay Thai was difficult to learn, Nancy felt fortunate that she did not possess any fat, thus making it easier to develop muscle. Selena Li will portray a career woman and share a romantic relationship with Kevin Cheng.

Charmaine Sheh visit Kevin Cheng hotel room

Kevin Cheng Charmaine Sheh

After the TVB Anniversary took place last December, Charmaine Sheh Si Man allegedly flew to Hengdian to visit Kevin Cheng Ka Wing, who was filming Bu Bu Jing Xin "步步驚心". Allegedly, a witness even saw Charmaine entering Kevin’s hotel room , in which female cries were heard inside. Through her actions, it was apparent that Charmaine wanted to be back together with Kevin!

In past interviews, Charmaine spoke about handling love relationships, “I don’t mind whether love relationships are revealed publicly or not.” She also stated, “If a man and woman are not married yet, each person still has their own choice.”

Since Charmaine was filming in Hangzhou last December, she appeared at the nearby Hengdian Studios to visit Kevin Cheng on the set of Bu Bu Jing Xin. Apparently, she did not mind making such a public gesture in visiting Kevin. A production crew member recounted, “Last December, the entire production crew saw Charmaine Sheh visiting Kevin Cheng on the set. At first, Kevin did not have much of a reaction and did not appear to be especially excited. During lunch break, Charmaine approached Kevin and pulled out a box of dumplings. They sat in a corner by themselves, conversing quietly and laughing loudly!”

After visiting Kevin on the set, Charmaine allegedly visited Kevin’s hotel room later in the evening. A crew member recounted, “At the time, Charmaine was very careful. She looked left and right to make sure no one was there before entering Kevin’s room. I saw her from afar. I quickly walked away since I did not want any embarrassment. Fortunately, she did not see me. I was curious about her visit, so I stood in front of the hotel room door to listen. I heard the sound of a female crying. The entire crew knows that Charmaine is interested in Kevin, but we don’t know why she loves him so much” Since Charmaine took the initiative to visit Kevin and started crying in his room later, it was understandable that Kevin was moved.

Allegedly, Kevin’s co-star, Liu Si Si, was also present when Charmaine visited Kevin on the filming set of Bu Bu Jing Xin. Apparently, Si Si was one of the many female admirers Kevin had on the set. She frequently asked Kevin to accompany her for hotpot dinners. When the press contacted Liu Si Si, she sounded shocked, “Sorry, I can not talk right now!” Apparently, Si Si did not want to be further involved in the love triangle rumors!

In the past, Charmaine openly praised Kevin, “He is very practical and not the type of man who just wants to have fun. He is stable and honest. He has qualities that would make him a good marriage partner.” Romantic rumors between Charmaine and Kevin started in 2007, when they filmed Forensic Heroes II "法證先鋒II" together. Allegedly, Charmaine was spotted entering Kevin’s house in Sai Kung at the time. In 2009, break-up rumors circulated and the press speculated that Charmaine and Kevin broke up because he did not want to openly acknowledge their relationship.

Netizens attack Kevin's solo appearance in 'Forensic Heroes III'

kevin cheng
Kevin Cheng as bomb disposal specialist Ivan Yeung in Forensic Heroes II.

Earlier this month, TVB organized a drama sales presentation, introducing the upcoming year's drama productions. While the popular and critically successful Forensic Heroes series was announced to be filming a third season, original main cast Bobby Au-yeung, Frankie Lam, Yoyo Mung, etc. are nowhere to be seen. Instead, Kevin Cheng gives a solo appearance, causing netizens to come together to criticize the upcoming production, also remarking, "If there's no Bobby they shouldn't film it!"

Every year, the TVB Anniversary Awards are seen as an important event for the television world. TVB's sales presentation is also equally treated to be important. Earlier on TVB introduced the upcoming year's drama program lineup, which included the soon-to-film Forensic Heroes III. Bobby Au-yeung and Frankie Lam, who were part of the original main cast of the series, are nowhere to be seen for the third installment. Kevin Cheng's recurring character Ivan Yeung in Forensic Heroes II, however, is instead shown as the main lead in the upcoming production.

In 2006, Bobby Au-yeung and Frankie Lam's Forensic Heroes achieved high ratings of 38 points. Two years later the original cast, with the addition of Kevin Cheng and Charmaine Sheh, came together for a second season, which also garnered high ratings. Wanting to continue the success, TVB is already preparing for a third season. Unfortunately, the first and second generation cast is nowhere to be seen, including second generation cast member and Kevin Cheng's rumored girlfriend Charmaine Sheh. There is speculation that the reason why Charmaine Sheh is left out of the list is due to the fact that the audience might grow uninterested to the pair after their appearances together in both Forensic Heroes II and Beyond the Realm of Conscience. Aside Kevin Cheng's solo appearance in Forensic Heroes III, female cast members are also reduced to only Mandy Cho, Leanne Li, and Vivienne Yeo.

Many claim that Bobby Au-yeung is the trademark of Forensic Heroes. His absence in the third season disgruntled the audience. Recently many netizens came together in forums to discuss their disappointments in the third installment, claiming that the new production is like "hanging a goat's head but selling dog meat." Other netizens remarked that the absence of Bobby Au-yeung and Frankie Lam in the Forensic Heroes series is like without Ron Ng and Sammul Chan for the The Academy series. Netizen TENMA said, "What the hell? Can it not be called Forensic Heroes III? It stinks up the name!" Another netizen ken715 remarked, "If they're cutting out Bobby and Frankie, it shouldn't be called Forensic Heroes III. It ruins the name!" Other netizens remarked that as long as there is the Forensic Heroes series there should be Bobby Au-yeung, claiming Bobby to be the image of the series.

Reporters phoned Bobby Au-yeung's manager, asking if the reason of his absence in the series is due to schedule conflicts. She honestly replied "Actually, no one ever contacted us about it. (Forensic Heroes III only includes Kevin Cheng?) Maybe they think he's more suitable. I think it's better if you ask the producer." However, the drama's producer Mui Siu-ching is busy preparing the script, and could not be contacted.

Kevin Cheng and Wong Hei distributing promotion leaflets separately

Kevin Cheng

The cast of "Burning Flame III" was in Mongkok yesteday, promoting its final episode, hoping to get higher index rating. Wong Hei, Kevin cheng, Bosco Wong and Aimee Chan appeared in the street of Mingkok. The males were wearing fireman uniforms, and the fire bridge was there to help them too. They have attracted a few hundred onlookers, needing the police to help maintain the order.

Wong Hei and Kevin went their separate ways when they were distributing leaflets. They were rumored not to get on very well while filming the series. There was no communication between the two throughout the promotion and Wong Hei became a "loner", delivering the leaflets by himself. There were opposition against Kevin and Myolie from the netizen, threatened to protest against them, but nothing happened yesterday. On the contrary, the audience all wanted to have pictures taken with the cast.

Yesterday, Wong Hei was distributing the "Wong Hei reminding you" leaflets which he had done it before in shopping malls and restaurants. In fact, it was the producer Amy Wong's idea that he would distribute the leaflets again. Reporter asked him how much he spent on printing them, he said the cost is not the issue. The most important thing is the outcome of the promotion. He also hopes it can raise people's awareness of fire safety. Speaking about the netizen who were against Kevin and Myolie, Wong Hei said people have freedom of speech. He doesn't want it to become an issue for heated debate. He got a few cheers yesterday. On the other hand, some netizen were not very happy that he remained unconscious for so many episodes, and instigated to boycott the series. Wong Hei was very pleased for their support, he thanked the screenwriter for his role, that he can share the happiness and sadness with the citizen. He urges for the people who express their own opinion to be a bit understanding and forgiving.

Kevin on the other hand is not worried about the negative feeling from the audience. He said it reminded him of the oldie black and while film by Lee Heung Kam who was always being smeared at in the street. He is happy that people take so much notice of the role he plays, but he hopes audience don't take it too seriously. Wong Hei and him went their separate ways to distribute leaflets were beyond their control because they were both there for the promotion. Bosco also praised Wong Hei for his enthusiasm.

Kevin had an interview with a radio station yesterday and he clarified that it was only a rumor that he and Wong Hei do not get on. They are working colleagues and they do thing differently. As the company has over thousand colleagues, it would be difficult for everyone to be friends. He admits Wong Hei sometimes changes his lines, but it didn't affect the progress of the filming. Kevin has been in the entertainment world for 16 years and this is the first time he is accused of being unfriendly with other artist. It is not fair to say there is favoritism between them.

Kevin Cheng gets very into his role against all odds

kevin cheng

Kevin Cheng has been in the entertainment industry for many years, with one rumor of not getting along with Wong He in "Burning Flames 3", he considers that as a life experience. However, the two men stressed that they have a "colleague" relationship and even did all the "surface exchange" work to prove their relationship!

Last year, "BF3" was filming for a few months, Kevin describes the process as a physical, mental and spirtual's big test. Besides the difficult filming process as a fireman, he also had to face the constant rumors strongly. He was involved with rumors of not getting along with Wong He and relationship troubles in the triangle love with rumored girlfriends Charmaine Sheh and Niki Chow. It was a troublesome scene.

"In those few months, I had the most gossips, almost the entire HK knew that I was on the headlines, but I did not let this affect my work performance. So, every day when I go to work I would remind myself, I need to use my abilities to show that I can do this series, then all is overcome. I would talk to friends about my problems, sometimes even Myolie Wu knew that I was unhappy, she would comfort me and told me 'Don't be like that! It's nonsense!' as an encouragement. She wouldn't add more pressure on me, but instead allowed me to focus on my acting. She's a real good partner."

Wong He opinions are different, it is only for the series

As for the 'storm' on not getting along with Wong He, He felt that it's not really a rumor, "Both of us know deep down that its for the good of the series, but it is impossible for everyone to have the same opinions, sometimes we deal with the scene differently. We also have the Director make the final decisions. The most important is that we all want the best for the series. I don't feel that is such a big problem. It is just that since I've enter the industry, I have never had any rumors with anyone else that we didn't get along. You all could go back and check the records and see this is my own experience. Actually 7 years ago when I first joined TVB, I played brothers with Wong He in "BF2", now we are opposite. This time, we have another opportunity to collaborate, it is the same thing, we are colleagues!"

There are a lot of firefighting scenes in "BF3", filming occurred in the summer, Kevin suggested to Producer Amy Wong that she should hire a stunts double quickly. "I was worried that I would not be able to withstand the heat, so I hired a substitute to help out on my own. At least sometimes if I couldn't take the scene on myself, there will be someone else to substitute me. Of course, if it is too dangerous, I will do it myself. Results, the substitute worked for a day and within the 12 hours of work, he sat there for 11 hours. He only did one or two scenes for me. He also couldn't take it any longer thinking, he doesn't want the money anymore because most of the scenes the Director requested that I do it. In the end, I just did them all myself."

Most Memorable: Saved a girl in a fire

In the series, the firefighting scenes are quite realistic, the cast are at risk that an unexpected accident might happen. Kevin's most memorable scene was in episode 12, where he was with Wong He saying a little girl who was stuck in a fire. "This scene talked about Wong He falling into a pit and I was trying to pull him up from above, but a falling piece of glass from two stories above fell and knocked me out. This piece of glass fell from a restaurant and was very large. During filming, the glass was not expected to completely burst open, it was a direct hit and even though I had a helmet on, I still felt a little dizzy. If the glass fell on Wong He, who didn't have a helmet on, then I cannot think of what could happen! This scene was quite dangerous. I also experienced filming many hours of fire scenes in the 35 C degrees weather. Afterwards, I felt dehydrated and felt like I couldn't breathe for 45 minutes. After drinking lots of water, I was okay."

Learning Ice Hockey

Last year when they were filming for this series, the Golden Harvest building experienced a level 5 fire, two firemen were killed in the fire. Kevin and the other cast members felt that it was a pity. "The spirit the firemen had for us citizens makes me respect them greatly. It is noble work that they do. After the previous two series of Burning Flames, there were a group of people who went to apply to become a fireman, hoping that more people would join the firefighters." Besides fire scenes, he felt that the other challenging scenes were that Director wanted him to play Ice Hockey. "At that time, I was also in 'Strictly Come Dancing', I didn't have any time to practice. Playing ice hockey is all about the skills, so I used my spare time when I didn't have to work to go learn how to play. It was not that hard to overcome though." For his role in "BF3", Kevin really put in a lot of effort into his work. Don't just look at his nice physical appearance, but he does do a lot of extra work for the series.

Kevin Cheng a GAG lover praises Bosco Wong to be handsome

kevin cheng

Kevin Cheng and Bosco Wong are on the same line in Male Leads, but they are also good friends, good brothers. Although there is competition between them, but that does not hurt their relationship. It's man and man, it does not mean that they don't get along, they too have feelings.

Kevin and Bosco are two men who run into each other, having many things to talk about, sometimes they can chat nonstop. In reality, they have good brothers relationship. Kevin and Bosco have worked together on 4 series, the most recent one is "Burning Flames 3" where the two have very different personalities, but still have a deep bond. Kevin said: "I don't know about Bosco, but I am also good friends with Roger Kwok and Moses Chan. We have many common topics to talk about, Bosco is not even in my generation, but this handsome boy is quite amazing."

Does all the homework before any series

The cool cool Kevin Cheng counts all the advantages of Bosco, including serious towards his work, professional, and will definitely do the homework before any series. Kevin says: "Not all newcomers know how to treasure. Bosco has his own personal knowledge. Among the new generation Siu Sangs Raymond Lam, Ron Ng and Bosco. I like Bosco's flexibility because he can be handsome, hot or even girly. He can change his character pretty quickly."

Being greatly praised by Kevin, Bosco automatically praises him back: "Kevin is actually very handsome and mature. Actually, when I first met Kevin, I felt that he was kinda cool, but when our relationship slowly developed, I realized he likes to joke a lot. He is the king of "laan" GAG." Although Bosco doesn't usually meet up with Kevin his private life, but every time they see each other, they are very compatible. He frankly said: "Actually there is no competition between us. Our routes are not the same, therefore considered to have no competition, if our personalities didn't match, we wouldn't have became friends."

HK hunk envies S'pore actor's wedded bliss

kevin cheng

HE is widely considered to be one of Hong Kong television's most handsome hunks.

But Kevin Cheng feels that his good pal, Singaporean actor and host Ben Yeo is so much luckier.

That is, when it comes to love.

'I believe in fate and Ben's really lucky to be able to find someone who can be his love for life,' the 39-year old actor told The New Paper.

Ben became a first-time father in May this year, and his son Javier's godfather is none other than Kevin. Does witnessing his buddy's bliss make him feel like settling down?

'I'd love to, but you can't rush things like that,' he said with a chuckle, adding that some people are fortunate enough to find the right one, while 'others spend their whole lives searching'. He said he preferred to just let nature take its course.

The bachelor had been previously linked to TVB actresses Niki Chow, 29, and recently, Charmaine Sheh, 34, his co-star in detective series Forensic Heroes II.

Kevin has never admitted to either relationship outright.

While it took a lighthearted drama, Under The Canopy Of Love, to propel him to stardom (he won Best Actor at the 2006 TVB Anniversary Awards for his role in that series), he said he always relishes new challenges.

'I've done several intense, dramatic roles, like in The Ultimate Crime Fighter (where he plays a disturbed, bisexual murderer) and Last One Standing (where he plays an ex-convict) and loved them.

'But after doing a string of such characters, I hope for a change and to do something different, like a swordfighting drama or a laugh-out-loud comedy.'

Kevin is currently filming the period drama Iron Horse Seeking Bridge, which also stars rumoured couple Kenneth Ma and Nancy Wu.

"Male Artist Calling Prostitute Incident" Kevin Cheng: It's Pointless News

kevin cheng

Yesterday at the blessing ceremony for their new series "Iron Horse Seeking Bridge", Tavia Yeung and Kevin Cheng were very playful and pretended to fight against each other. Towards the recent report of "Male Artist Calling a Prostitute", Kevin said: "The magazine already asked if it was me, actually I really can't do anything, things just have to be like that. Earlier there was "Salty Pig Hand" and other negative incidents happening, the news all said I was a suspect and caused a huge scene. In the article, it said that the male artist lived in the HK Island district and has a driver, that is definitely not me. Honestly, this is really pointless, don't need to cause such a huge chaos in the entertainment circle, I hope that these news could stop." Does he feel the news affected him? "No, it's just another headline for me." Have you heard of the incident? "If I know I won't say it out, but usually I really don't know. The most pity is that I never even been to that place, if I went before and the news wrote about me, then there's still some worth in writing it."

Speaking of he and his rumored girlfriend Charmaine Sheh having a meal together and even have intentions of moving to North Point for the convenience of picking up his girlfriend, Kevin denied, he said: "Currently I don't have time to go look at houses, when I see one I like, then I'll worry about it. Also, this is all written by the Magazines. It is not what the Magazines said that is the truth."
[Oriental Daily] Kevin Cheng and Tavia Yeung were at the blessing ceremony of TVB new series "Iron Horse Seeking Bridge". Tavia revealed that in the new series she would have many scenes with children, she frankly said that she's really afraid of kids crying, but after she became an aunt, she brought out her motherly love - learning how to be more patient when dealing with kids.

Recently there were news that said a male artist by the surname of "Cheng" called a prostitute, Kevin said: "I already said it's not me and they still put my picture on the report. I really can't do anything, they said that the person has a driver picking him up, that is definitely not me. (Did you call a prostitute?) No! How can people say that about me, it's so unfair!"

Kevin Cheng attended the blessing ceremony for new TVB series "Iron Seeking Horse Bridge". Recently there have been claims of a male actor with the surname Cheng that seeked prostitute services.
