After his break up with model girlfriend Lillian Chen in March, JJ Lin, 30, has reportedly taken a liking to one of Taiwan's most beautiful host Weng Tzymann, and they have been seeing each another secretly for the past three months.

On July 3, the pair was photographed leaving a KTV together, but in response to this, both emphasised that they are just friends and that they were not alone that evening.

JJ and Tzymann were believed to have met at the 2010 Most Searched Award when they were invited to be the presenters for the ceremony.

The pair reportedly hit off and had exchanged contact numbers then.

Ever since JJ broke up with Lilian in March, the two began hanging out more often, and in April, they were seen going to the movies together in Taipei.

However, both denied the allegations and emphasised that they are just friends.

Nominated for the second time round, JJ Lin’s hopes of winning came crashing down when the award finally went to Jay Chou

Jay Chou beat JJ Lin at the 22nd Annual Golden Melody Awards to win the night's Best Male Mandarin Artiste award.

When award presenter David Tao first announced the name "Jay" - which sounded very much like JJ's initial - local singer JJ Lin thought the award was his to take home. However, the award eventually went to Jay Chou, who, also thought that the award was going to JJ.

The Taiwanese pop star became the night's biggest winner, bagging three major awards namely "Best Male Mandarin Artiste", "Best Mandarin Album" and "Best Composer" respectively.

At the after party, JJ, who looked visibly surprised when Jay's name was announced, admitted to having high hopes of winning as "David always calls me JJ in private". However, his hopes came crashing down when David finally read out the winner's full name and presented the award to Jay Chou instead.

Last year, JJ was also nominated for the same award, but failed to win.

Water Thrown in the Street; JJ Lin Stunned Speechless

On the night of the 13th, reporters caught JJ and Lillian at the Vieshow Cinemas in XinYip; they went to watch Red Riding Hood. The pair first browsed for DVD's at Asia1, on the second floor; before long, labelmates By2 and other friends showed up, and they went in to the movie together. Following the show, however, it seems that the observant JJ had noticed that there were reporters in the vicinity; he, Lillian, and the others first ducked into a safe corner to come up with a plan to avoid the cameras. When the waiting reporters rushed up to interview them, the five of them immediately-- in an attempt to ward off the reporters-- whipped out their own cellphones and began snapping pictures. Their actions were fast and deliberate; obviously, they've practiced this many times.

The reporter asked when Lillian and JJ's relationship would be made public; unexpectedly, Lillian began to lose control. First, she pretended to trip and fall, throwing the contents of her water bottle at the reporter. As she threw the water, she even giggled frivolously, "Oh! Apology Posted on Blog

After he regained his senses, JJ immediately apologized on behalf of Lillian: "We're so sorry; we're so sorry." Yesterday, a reporter contacted Lillian via her cellphone; upon answering and hearing the reporter's, "May I ask, is this Lillian?", Lillian quickly said, "You've got the wrong number," and hung up. When he heard that Lillian had lost control and thrown water at a reporter, producer Wang GuanWei, one of the only ones who have worked with Lillian in a professional setting, laughed loudly, "I'm not in the least surprised; she fought with me in the past, too." Singapore Singer JJ Lin got H1N1 Virus Flu

JJ Lin is down with H1N1 flu.

The Singaporean singer-songwriter, who's currently based in Taiwan, was diagnosed with the flu virus yesterday after he was warded into Taipei Medical University Hospital with a high fever of 39.5 degree Celsius.

JJ had apparently worked overnight for his MV and had already shown signs of fatigue just the day before. He was also plagued with fever and flu since his flight back to Taiwan on Sunday after his concert tour in Nanjing, China.

After taking his blood sample, JJ was confirmed to have H1N1 flu. As the virus spreads rapidly, he is required to be in quarantine for the next five days.

As a result, the 29-year-old had to cancel his flight to Hefei, Anhui China, and the concerts lined up till Monday. The cancellations will cost him RMB1.5million ($300,000).

JJ Lin I Am world Concert Tour in Beijing

JJ Lin launched his “I AM” World Concert Tour in Beijing on the 21st. Nearly 10,000 fans packed the Capital Indoor Stadium to see him perform in person, as well as a glimpse at his new bod. He entertained the audience with 33 songs, including a medley similar to the one performed at this year’s Golden Melody Awards. The concert started off with an impressive video created with the “Light Stage” technology -- a single grain of sand turned into ten thousands to form the shape of JJ Lin. JJ Lin in The Nth 100 days MV with Shara Lin

JJ Lin Jun Jie filmed an MV for his new song and grandly showed his piano playing talent. Besides having a “four hand piano duet” with female lead Shara Lin Yi Xin, he also turned into a crazy piano player and agitatedly played the piano alone. In the end, he got too engross in playing the piano and accidentally fell, causing injury and “seeing red”.

JJ is soon releasing his 7th album “Hundred Days” and after having been through coughing out blood and lost of voice which resulted in him returning to Singapore for a 100 day recuperation, he’s treasuring everything even more now.

When filming the MV for “The Nth 100 days”, the director found Shara Lin from the movie “Summer Time” to be the female lead of the MV. As there are scenes of JJ playing the piano, the director casually asked if Shara knew how to play “Little Bee (小蜜蜂)”, wannting to see if she could pretend and then act out the scene. It turned out that she could fluently play a Mozart’s piece, surprising the director and JJ. She turned out to have graduated from the music faculty of her university and has great piano playing skill. The director thus immediately added in scenes of them sweet playing a “four hand duet” together.

As a talented musician, JJ of course could not just let Shara display her talent. The director arranged a story plot requiring him to stand and crazily play the piano. To act out the “crazily playing piano” emotion, JJ got too engross and agitated that he lost his balance and fell. His right hand scrapped the piano’s edge and his skin immediately peeled. Blood came flowing out and the wound became swollen. He was unconcern though and said “Never mind. Continue filming!”

His coworkers were actually very happy though as they viewed it as a good sign before the album is released and kept saying “Seeing red is good. Will become more and more famous!” (A popular chinese saying)

The two Lins JJ and Shara met for the first time but had amazing chemistry and collaboration. Besides clearing their four hand duet at one go, they also cleared their romantic scenes with one shot. From holding hands and walking in the snow to hugging, the romantic atmosphere were all very strong and the workers praised them for having great on-screen chemistry.

JJ Lin among recipients of Singapore Youth Award 2009

SINGAPORE: A pop singer, a film maker and a wine merchant are among this year's recipients of the Singapore Youth Awards.

JJ Lin is one of Singapore's most recognisable musical exports, having made a name for himself in the regional Chinese pop scene.

He entered the charts with his debut album "Music Voyager" in 2003. He is also a strong supporter of children's charities.

Both Lin and film director, Ho Tzu Nyen, who made his Cannes debut this year with his film "Here", will receive the award for their contributions to arts and culture.

Besides making films, Ho is also a visual artist and lectures regularly at schools.

Wine merchant Clinton Ang is being recognised for his entrepreneurial skills.

The annual awards are given out to outstanding Singaporeans under the age of 35.

Three other individuals will also be conferred the accolade - Lina Chong, for her work in youth leadership development, Tong Joo Chuan for his work in the sciences, and national sailor Koh Seng Leong for his contributions to sports.

Recipients will receive their awards at the Istana on Sunday.

Singapore singer JJ Lin's health on red alert

SINGAPORE : Singapore singer-songwriter Lin Jun Jie, popularly known as JJ Lin, has been ordered to rest or risk severly damaging his vocal cords.

The popular singer has been suffering a bout of flu since last year and there were times when he even coughed blood. But JJ, 28, did not seek proper treatment and barely got any rest as he was busy promoting his album "Sixology".

It was only when he returned to Singapore to attend the Composers and Authors Society of Singapore (Compass) Awards last weekend that his condition got so bad that he had difficulty talking.

According to his doctor, his vocal chords had been corroded by gastric acid and an endoscopy revealed that they were very swollen and badly damaged.

JJ was advised to take at least a week off singing but the ever-professional singer still took to the stage to perform with Singaporean jazz maestro Jeremy Monterio during the awards ceremony on Sunday.

He admitted that the illness has affected his morale and he was worried that the condition will deteriorate, "I am afraid that I might not recover from it. If it worsens, it can lead to a bacterial infection which will then require an operation. That is probably the last thing on my mind as singing is my rice bowl."

JJ's record company, Ocean Butterflies, said it will reduce the star's workload so he can get sufficient rest and recover. However, JJ is still required to perform at ten commercial events in China as these offers were accepted some time back.

The singer's upcoming album which is scheduled to be released in August, is also likely be postponed.

Adding insult to injury, JJ was snubbed at this year's Golden Melody Awards which has been dubbed the Chinese Grammys. His album "Sixology" did not receive any nominations despite positive reviews and JJ revealed that he was a tad disappointed but will not dwell on it.

However, his hard work did not go unrecognised as the talented singer bagged three major awards - Top Local Artiste of The Year, Top Local Composer of the Year and Top Local Soundtrack - at the Compass awards last week.
