Aaron Kwok and Rene Liu in film Love in Space

Aaron Kwok and Rene Liu

LOVE IN SPACE (CHUEN KAU YIT LUEN) yesterday released the Aaron Kwok Fu Sing and Rene Liu (Lau Yeuk Ying) in a space station photo and unveiled the story behind the most difficult kiss scene. Lau Yeuk Ying said that the biggest challenge this time was the wire work, completely relying on limbs and expressions in weightlessness. It was an enormous challenge to her performance.

Lau Yeuk Ying said, "After the first day of wire work, when I came down and heard the director said once more I wanted to cry. It wasn't because I had pressure inside and didn't want to, I just felt like my body really couldn't take it." Kwok Fu Sing revealed, "I fell in love at first sight with the astronaut scene in LOVE IN SPACE. This was a very lucky character, right after reading the script I was looking forward to the production starting sooner. However it was actually shot, I was still a little frightened. The kiss was different from on earth. In space we floated. When we kissed it was even more romantic, but as we worked, when we kissed we didn't know where we floated to! This romantic floating in space kiss scene was hot on wires for six hours. Finally we captured the most touching shot, but this was also the most difficult kiss in my career."

Zhang Ziyi and Hong Kong actor Aaron Kwok will play a couple suffering from AIDS in director Gu Changwei's first-ever feature film tackling the issue, entitled "The Era of Magic."

Aaron Kwok was spotted on the set in Beijing Tuesday with a bearded and weary look, the Beijing News reports.

The film, adapted from a novel, tells a tragic love story between two AIDS-afflicted lovers. Kwok plays a primary school teacher who is sent from the city to teach in the countryside, but contracts AIDS and develops a crush on Zhang Ziyi's character, also an AIDS patient.

Director Gu Changwei insists Zhang Ziyi as the right actress for the lead, despite her recent embroilment in a slew of scandals about her personal life and alleged donation fraud.

Gu thinks the internationally famous Zhang will ensure a box office cache for the upcoming film.

Reportedly, award-winning actress Jiang Wenli, wife of director Gu, was cast in a supporting role.

Other big names joining the cast for very little pay include Pu Cunxin, Cai Guoqing, Li Xuejian and Li Danyang - all ambassadors of an anti-AIDS public campaign, the paper says, citing unnamed sources.

Private part exposed during concert? Surely that was no Kwok!

aaron kwok in singapore concert

The King of Asian Pop Aaron Kwok has brought along the most spectacular props for a promotional tour in Singapore. During his previous concert in Hong Kong, photos of Kwok supposedly with his private parts exposed were taken and published on the Internet. In response to these exposed photos, Kwok laughed and claimed them to be unreal and doctored.

Always insisting in producing the best concert, Kwok settles only for the best standards in the vocals, dance, lighting or even costumes for his concert. During the press conference, he was proud to announce that the whole production crew consists entirely of Chinese and the 450 degrees revolving stage had also set a Guinness World record.

Having been through so many concerts, Kwok never fails to provide his audience with something novel for every concert. And this time Kwok decided to take his dance to greater heights, literally.

"While rehearsing for the dance moves, we were also trying out the possibilities to dance on a revolving stage. I still remember that we were so excited when someone finally told us that the idea was feasible," Kwok recalled.

New stage mechanics will be used for the concert in Singapore will be a brand new one. Audiences will then have the chance to watch the King of Pop perform on the revolving stage from different angles and views.

Another highlight of the concert would be the wet and sexy dance segment where Kwok, dressed in all white, will be dancing on a stage filled with water with his line of dancers. In his previous concert back in Hong Kong, a fan brought along a water gun to spray on Kwok while he danced, delighting Kwok. He even revealed that he expects to be hit by an even bigger water gun for the upcoming concert in Singapore .

As for the scandalous photos taken in his previous concert, Kwok questioned if the photos were genuine. "It is impossible for me to get exposed, what they took was fake! I mean I am real of course, but there is no chance they can shoot such photos. We've taken all preventive measures, it is the media who have been exaggerating," Kwok responded.

In order to present his best form on stage, Kwok has been exercising religiously and controlling his diet for the past one year. Asked if his singing will be compromised having to put so much emphasis on creating the effects and dance choreography, Kwok refuted, "I can't control the audience's focus when they watch the concert, but my focus is still on my singing. Nothing can beat the emotions and feelings derived from singing live with a band."

Having to perform a great deal of dangerous stunts on the revolving stage, Kwok admitted to buying insurance. However, insurance is never enough to insure safety of one self. "If I don't put in the effort and focus when I do my stunts, I will also be left with nothing if I do really fall," Kwok said.

Aaron Kwok's spectacular concert will be held 30 May, at the Singapore indoor stadium.
