Linda Chung in new TVB Drama Lucky Fahter
Yesterday, Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣), Steven Ma (馬浚偉), Ha Yu (夏雨) and the rest of the cast and crew held a praying ceremony for new TVB drama, Lucky Father "當旺爸爸". Earlier on, when Linda and Steven were shooting an accident scene for Lucky Father, a passerby thought that an actual accident had occurred and called the police. When mentioned, Linda replied that she felt that the accident scene was probably too realistic, thus misleading people to think that it was real. Linda expressed that she was shocked when the police suddenly arrived at the scene on that fateful day.
Ran Until Feet Hurt When Filming Chasing Criminals Scene
Linda will have romantic developments with three men in the drama and they include Steven Ma, Lai Lok Yi (黎諾懿) and Edwin Siu (蕭正楠). Will she have kissing scenes with all of them ? Linda responded, “Fathers are the main topic of this warm-hearted drama. As romantic love isn’t the primarily focus here, no kissing scenes will likely be imposed. It was rather challenging as this is the first time I’m acting as a policewoman. As I often have to film criminal-chasing scenes, I suffered from a lack of sleep but still had to film from morning until night the very day, running until my legs were numb and in pain.”
Did Linda prefer filming kissing scenes or criminal chasing scenes? Linda laughed and said, “It’s most important for the effect to be good. All three of them are good men.” (Reporter: Which one of them fits your criteria of a boyfriend?) “Each of them have their own strengths. I have the most chemistry with Steven Ma since we have collaborated five times now. Lai Lok Yi is my good friend. Edwin Siu is a nice guy. However, I will not develop with any of them. Acting is purely acting; I keep private life separate from work.”
In other news, Tracy Ip (葉翠翠) was rumored to have turned down TVB actor, Benjamin Yuen’s (韋家雄) pursuit of love. In reply to this, Tracy silently admitted to it, “We previously filmed 4 In Love together and in that drama, his character really likes me. During filming, he was just going into character. After filming, nothing happened between us. We didn’t communicate or even went on any date after that.” Tracy Ip clarified that she did not mind dating shorter guys than herself but preferred that her boyfriend was not from the entertainment circle.

Timmy Hung will marry with Janet Chow
Timmy Hung, Derek Kwok, Joe Ma and Michael Tse were in Chuen Wan for a Mid-Autumn Festival event, celebrating the holiday with the elders. Timmy revealed through the interview that he and his girlfriend Janet Chow had a new idea on their wedding. They plan to hold a 'two person wedding' in Australia on November 11th. He said: "Actually since last year, we already started preparing for the wedding, but all along we couldn't find a suitable location to host the occasion. Janet recently said why don't we just marry in Australia without anyone, just the two of us. Then we'll come back and hold the banquet. Parents of both sides agreed, my father (Sammo Hung) doesn't mind because he's busy shooting a new film and will only have time in January of next year."
Timmy is prepared to buy a 1 carat diamond ring valued at HK$20,000 to marry Janet. In the future when he earns more money, he will add more to the gifts. He laughed: "I hate those games we play when we pick up the bride. For me, I'll just act like Special Duties Unit, break through the doors and steal the bride."
Also, Derek Kwok was recently blessed with a daughter. Although child care is difficult, but at least has a goal in life. Asked about rumored girlfriend Joyce Tang accused of being the 'third party'. He said awkwardly that the two are just friends, and has not been keeping in touch. He said: "She didn't admit she was dating, how can outsiders know about matters between two people?" When asked if Derek will introduce 'good men' to Joyce? He said: "No, let her find one herself."

Andy Lau and Deanie Ip in film A Simple Life
Director Ann Hui’s (许鞍华) A Simple Life starring Andy Lau (刘德华) and Deanie Ip (叶德娴), centers around a master-servant relationship between a son and a mother. A Simple Life premiered at the 68th Annual Venice Film Festival on September 5th. Director Ann Hui, the film’s producer, Andy Lau, Deanie Ip, Qin Hailu (秦海璐), and other veterans walked the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival earlier this week.
A Simple Life was one of the four short-listed Chinese language films competing for the coveted Golden Lion Award and the second Chinese language film to make its appearance at the Venice Film Festival, following the lukewarm media reception of Seedig Bale "赛德克-巴莱". Based on the published score thus far, Seedig Bale came in the last place among the screened films.
Based on the media and audience reaction at the premiere, A Simple Life was more successful. When the film ended, the entire audience rose to a standing ovation. The reporter reflected on some of the film’s transitions, coupled with the slow pace of the subject matter, which led to the early departure of certain members of the media. However, it was understood that the domestic release of the mainland China version of A Simple Life will run at 117 minutes in length, which was slightly shorter than the version shown at the Venice Film Festival.
Deanie Ip’s performance in the film won the appreciation of many media outlets. Deanie was considered to be the strongest contender for the Best Actress Award to-date.

Michael Tse and Kate Tsui in Lives of Omission
TVB series Lives of Omission is currently a popular hit, making Michael Tse and Kate Tsui the target on magazine reports. It was said after Stephen Chan resumed his position at TVB, he plans to boost his favorites Wong He and Wayne Lai up for TV King, shattering Michael's dreams. Kate also asked the producer to new series Schemes of East and West to give her more screen time, so she can defeat Fala Chen. However, her plans failed and therefore she withdrew from the series.
Yesterday Michael and Kate took part in the recording of 全城喜動 in Macau. Towards the related reports, Kate had a big reaction and explained: "Never heard of such thing. This is quite interesting, I did discuss a script and role with Producer Tommy Leung, but because of schedule conflicts, I couldn't take part in the series. (You don't want to collaborate with Fala?) No such thing, why would that be so? We just completed a series together. (Is it not 'if there is her, then there is no you'?) Why would that be? TVB already has a shortage of people, so they are happy when there are more people coming. Perhaps there will be more time to earn some extra money. (Fala is your greatest opponent for this year's TV Queen title?) I know I already have 5 series broadcast this year, but I personally support Myolie Wu. I heard her performance in Queen of All is awesome."
Michael just expressed: "I don't have to comment on this, there are too many of these fabricated news. (Stephen Chan made everyone in TVB split in groups and parties again?) In fact it is not Mr. Chan splitting the groups on his own, it is the public that is helping him do so. I feel that we all have the same goal, and that is to work for TVB."

Sharon Chan as leading role in series Schemes of East and West
Accused of being in the 'Stephen Party', TVB FaDans Sharon Chan and Fala Chen took part in the costume fitting for new series Schemes of East and West with Roger Kwok. Sharon was asked if its because she's Stephen Chan's favorite that she got the opportunity to take on the leading role? Sharon said: "Not related, this series was set several months ago. (Are you a loyal member of the 'Stephen Party'?) He is a good boss, friend and my mentor. He taught me how to be a host. We aren't in any party, just being ourselves." As part of the 'Stephen Party', Sharon sweet talked and thanked Virgina Lok for helping her fight for the opportunity to portray this role. When speaking of it being a benefit to her, now that Stephen is back in TVB? She said: "Didn't think about that. I am already thankful that he's fine. I was worried for a long time because before I was a 'witness' and it wasn't convenient for me to say too much. Now it's a sign of relief. I have SMS him and he replied that everything is going well."
As for Fala, she plays Chung Mo Yim. She expressed she has been mindful of Stephen's return, asked if she's part of the 'Stephen Party'? She joked: "Before they said I was part of the Tsang Jeh party (Catherine Tsang), then the Miss Lok party (Virgina Lok), I have been in all of the parties except for the villain party." Roger Kwok said he congratulates Stephen having new hopes after a disastrous period. He said: "We were familiar for a period before, but later I had to look after my son and shoot in Mainland, so we didn't keep in touch as much."
Also, yesterday Fala started shooting outdoor scenes for the new series and coincidentally encountered Film King Chow Yun Fat, who had paid attention to her performances before. Fala was jumping in joy when she saw him and asked for a photo together to post on Weibo. She wrote: "Fat Gor stood behind me and watched me perform. I worked hard trying to concentrate, aiya, so pressuring!" Koni Lui also got to take a photo with Chow Yun Fat.
